Business Development Manager (London, United Kingdom)

  • Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for selling DataPOWA’s sponsorship prospecting, benchmarking, media valuation and attribution SaaS, and research services to sports properties, brands and agencies worldwide. Every day, you will be growing our business in order to over-achieve your targets and fuel your career.

The ideal candidate will be focused, goal orientated and have strong written and oral communication skills. Will be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. We’re excited to work with someone who’s knowledgeable about sports sponsorship, motivated to inspire positive change in the market, a team player, feels comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment and is happy to cooperate with remote team members. You will wear many hats at times but will have a key role in our future growth and immediate responsibility.

  • Responsibilities
    • Research and Identify new business opportunities
    • Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales and identify new business opportunities
    • Help craft impactful pitches from early stage to late stage sales cycles
    • Contacting C-level prospects to introduce DataPOWA’s products and services
    • Effectively communicate the value propositions of DataPOWA’s products to brands, agencies and sports properties across all channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Schedule and conduct first meetings with key prospects, turning leads into “deal opportunities”.
    • Supporting Sales Directors across the different stages of the sales funnel to maximise deal conversion (participating in meetings and developing sales deliverables such as demos, business cases, and proposals)
    • Support planning and execution of DataPOWA’s sales and growth strategy
  • Skills Required
    • Knowledge of media measurement, sponsorship research and the digital marketing landscape
    • Experience in delivering new and disruptive software services in media, sports and entertainment
    • Relevant degree level qualification
    • At least two years’ prior industry related business development experience
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
