ETHEREUM BEHIND FIN-TECH REVOLUTION
Regular readers of my blog will know I’m banging the blockchain drum regularly, and I lead with another article on the subject, this time from Deep Patel at TechCrunch. Deep Patel is a serial entrepreneur, marketer and the author of A Paperboy’s Fable: The 11 Principles of Success.
When Bitcoin burst onto the scene in 2009, it challenged preconceived notions about the limitations of transactions. Fast-forward 8 years, and another platform is dominating the headlines. Ethereum has built on Bitcoin’s potential and is driving a revolution in financial transactions.
Ethereum is an open-source platform that facilitates the development of next-generation decentralized applications. It was conceptualized in 2013 by Vitalik Buterin, who at the time was conducting research within the Bitcoin community. Since Buterin’s initial ideation, Ethereum has grown in interest and scale; today it is poised to overhaul open-source development.

BRAND SURVEY HIGHLIGHTS ISSUES WITH ADVERTISING
The Fast Company asked more than 5,000 people to tell them about the brands they sought out, then they analyzed what those brands did. The results were surprisingly consistent. Here’s a really interesting article and it highlights the issues that the global agencies now face, and tells us they these guys are getting it wrong.

The incentives to buy an electric car in the UK may have been reduced, but more and more people are still making the switch away from conventionally powered vehicles. So far this year, sales of ‘alternatively fueled’ vehicles have accounted for around 4% of all new car registrations.
Along with a very insightful article is a list of all the planned electric cars for the next few years which may nudge one or two of us to make the move.

THE CULTURE CLUB
This is a fascinating article by Dr. Cameron Sepah who is a Professor of Psychiatry @UCSFMedicine, a Startup/VC Advisor @BeJoyable and a Founding Member @OmadaHealth.
“The actual company values, as opposed to the nice-sounding values, are shown by who gets rewarded, promoted, or let go.”
For some of us it will make perfect sense, to others, it will be completely alien. It’s how I run my companies though and I strongly suggest you do likewise if you aren’t doing it already.
